When will this shit end?? How long will it take for dumbass anti-abortionist to discover that women have a right to life as well as their unborn progeny. I refer to the recent events in Canada.

I support any woman who decides that perhaps it's not the right time or maybe not the right Dad or any other reason she can come up with. IT'S HER BODY!!!!
No collection of cells can negate that the woman is alive and the cell cluster IS NOT!!! Without the woman it's just, what the hell is it?? It is nothing. Maybe a parasite?
Actually it meets every criteria of a parasite.

One of the things that was saved by the recent election in France was 100% reimbursement of abortion costs. The previous government was on the verge of going in the opposite direction to try to get the fundamentalist vote.

In the state of Virginia there have been plenty of regulations implemented to make it more difficult to get an abortion. The regulations vary from ultrasound exams and ultrasound pictures of the embryo/fetus which must then be kept on the patients file forever to imposing construction/building regulations on the clinics which they can't meet so they are forced to close down.
What ticks me off is when anti-abortion advocates act as if there are plenty of woman have abortions on a whim, who wake up one day, 8 months pregnant and all of a sudden decide they don't want the baby. That's just bollocks cause the number of late-term abortions is really low, similar to women who abort due to rape/incest.
Another thing that ticks me off is that they try to impose their personal beliefs on the rest of the nation. If you're so anti-abortion, then simply don't have one when you get pregnant but stay out of my womb.
And I also believe that those women who do have an abortion should be able to get a medical treatment that treats them with compassion and that they can keep their dignity instead of being stigmatized.

One thing that really gets up my nose about these anti-abortionists is that they are only concerned about embryos. Once a toe gets stuck out in the real world, they lose all interest and won't help in any way.
I often thought of phoning these twerps up and asking if they would agree to subsidizing me for 21 years if I were pregnant. And at my current lifestyle, not a bare-bones welfare scrabble. I should have done it.
I did email one MP who had a private bill to penalize those who coerced women into having abortions. I asked him (of course it was a him!) if his bill would also penalize those who coerced women into NOT having abortions. His response was no, naturally.
May I rant a little more? I detest these people who call themselves pro-life because actually, as mentioned above, they have no interest once the baby is born. They are only anti-abortion, not pro-life. Controlling s.o.b.s!

Hear Hear...I just wish that contraception were more freely available to the people who need it, that sex education and the responsibility and respect for ones' own body was something taught in loving homes and schools, and that we weren't allowing extremists to dictate how we live our lives.
Abortion is a distressing procedure that is never taken lightly, generally it's 'last chance saloon' time. Now that medical science has the ability to preserve the lives of the 23-24 week gestation premature baby then it is hard to deal with late abortion. I don't agree with forced abortions either.

Completely agree with you regarding contraception and education. That's another thing that drives me berserk about anti-abortionists - they are usually anti-birth control for those having premarital sex. Better to have a bunch of pregnant 16 year olds, who then keep their babies. You would think if they were so sincere about being anti-abortion that they would welcome contraception that would stop the possibility.

i must agree that it is noticeable that often those, who are strictly against abortion (and call themselves "pro-life") seem to think on the other hand, that once you are born you have to fend for yourself, and if you are in a bad situation you were probably lazy (nevermind that you might just be a year or two old). also noticeable that a lot of pro-life people seem to be in favor of the death penalty.
as for abortion itself, i am not quite sure where i stand - i think there has to be a right to it, but at the same time i am not sure when and how and so on... it is a very difficult issue, i think...

Even those of us who completely support it are a bit dismayed when it is merely used as a form of birth control rather than taking the pill or using condoms.

yeah that is basically what i mean... that, and that just for myself i am not sure i could ever do that... though i suppose those that use it as a form of birth control are really just very few people.

Abortion should be a last resort, but must be available. The gestation police should be forced to ADOPT any unwanted babies that they force to be delivered against the will of the woman who became pregnant unintentionally.
Also, it's not just 16-year-olds. Girls are "maturing" at 10 and 11 years of age, when they still need mothering themselves.
