I always wanted to be called Elizabeth. No shortening to Beth or Liz. Alas, my given name is as plain as dishwater.

I am Elizabeth and Charlotte/Charlie was way up there on my list of names. Fancy a swap?
Only my husband calls me Elizabeth all the time. But I like that.

imec = guy pronounced of course gee. Am I correct? Actually, out of the 3 letters in my name, you got precisely none right. Good try though.

no idea really. i am not such a big fan of my name, but i have kind of gotten used to it. i do like the name raluca, but i don't think it would fit me. it's more something i plan to name my daughter if i ever have one.

I would have chosen something other than the name I have. It is, in itself, a fine name, but it is my grandmother's name, and because my father was named after his grandfather and we use patronymics, my granny and I have the same first and last names. She does have a middle name, and I think she is still annoyed with my parents for not giving that to me as well, whereas I am eternally grateful that they clean forgot she had a middle name when it came to naming me. I would have liked very much to have been given a middle name that was not from the family, but special to me.
Now, of course, it is rather funny to be walking around with a highly religious Biblical name, because I happen to be agnostic. I will not change it, however, because by now it has fused tight and I would additionally be disowned by my family if I did.
