Different place, different time: Fishermen checking their nets in Howth, Ireland. These fishermen were unloading frozen fish in Ancud, Chile. The guy on the right has a scale and is weighing the fish as they pile them up.

That's suitable for framing Bix! Although, the gentleman does not look too pleased to be having his photo taken.

I don't know what country that is in your picture, Bjd, but from the lettering it must be one that prominently features triptychs in its artwork. How wonderful that the tradition is carried forward into a new medium. ;D I love how so many of your pictures carry a story within them, and the subtle details, such as the second guy I didn't see immediately.
Imec ~~ that's a superior picture, with the strong colors superimposed against the stacked rectangular bands of background, plus it's a marvel of composition.

This sort of job would not appeal to me. I do no want to pretend to be an orange or a strawberry.

Interesting pictures, Imec. Were those trees chewed down by a beaver?!
How do you know they're pretending, Kerouac?

Interesting pictures, Imec. Were those trees chewed down by a beaver?! Yes, this is a little park right at the confluence of the LaSalle and Red rivers less than 1/2 a mile from my house. Amazing the damage these buggers can do. The tree already toppled was nearly a foot in diameter where he gnawed through and his latest project is even bigger.

That is really something! Do they scrape with their claws first, or is the de-barking done with their teeth?
There is a woodworking shop on the highway north out of town that sports a large sign with the shop's name: Los Castores -- The Beavers.

Road diggers outside my house. Please note the slavish adherence to health and safety rules. The high visibility jacket, steel toe-capped work boots, hard hat, safety gloves, ear and eye protectors. Also note the signed off area for working allowing plenty of warning of the obstruction for road users -

Yes they did. Mainly because I shouted Oi! when I was on my balcony. I then immediately loaded the photo onto my computer and printed off a copy for each of them. They were quite pleased.

What a wonderful sequence, Tod! You can tell by the customer's face in the last picture that the newspaper man's happy nature is infectious.

On Friday I took these photos of Sylvias my amazing gardener. He takes care of a large expanse of lawn, flower beds & vegetable garden in only two days a week. Sylvias is nearing 40 and has run The Comrades Marathon a number of times - each time winning a bronze medal. His fitness is probably due to the fact he cycles 30 km a day to work and back. He lives in a village called France.
