Just beautiful, perfectly beautiful! You (or you & Mr. Mich) take wonderful pictures.
Predictable? No, your angles, composition, and obvious pleasure in being there make this album delightful.

Didn't Kerouac take the same picture as your #4 in the fountain pictures? Which park is it in, Mich?

Thank you Bixa! In photo # 1, I enjoyed capturing The Seine, one of the Vendette boats, a carousel, the Eiffel Tower, the Montparnesse (?) tower and one of the many bridges. We both enjoy taking photos.
Bjd, the photo of the fountain is in Jardin du Luxembourg and is named Fontaine de Medicis. I love this park, I find it so relaxing yet with so many different things to see.
I do not want to wish my summer away, but we cannot wait for September to be back to France. Cheers, Mich

Great photos, mich. Every time I see photos of Paris I instantly want to be there. I have some really good memories of the times I've spent there in the past.

I cannot claim that I have not seen the same pictures a million times already, yet I still enjoy seeing everybody's different version of the same scenes. I am amused to see for a start two pictures of the Tour Montparnasse, once under the Eiffel Tower and once trying to hide in back of the Luxembourg gardens. This skyscraper (even though it is only 58 floors) shows up regularly in photographs, even though the eyes filter it out. It annoys and intrigues visitors (who take a while to find out what it is, since obviously the guidebooks do not devote more than a line or two to it, so you have to read the book carefully to finally find it). Personally, what annoys me is that every guidebook says the same thing, and then the tourists decide to make the same statement their own, because they find it witty: "The Tour Montparnasse offers the best view of Paris because it is the only place where you can't see the Tour Montparnasse." It's kind of funny to think that in just a few days, people will by trying to take pictures of it on purpose at night, because it is starting its own light show to compete with the Eiffel Tower. But back to your photos, Mich. I love pictures where people do not photograph the entire Eiffel Tower, but just part of it. And I like the first picture of the Luxembourg gardens for the same reason. Instead of trying to get a geometric shot of the shape of the flower beds, or the pond or the walkways, you managed an excellent cocktail showing the balustrades, statues, urns full of flowers, the striking potted palms, the pond and even the mysterious little stainless steel box hiding under the railing. I also like the individual portrait of the potted palm. They had to retire the very biggest ones a couple of years ago because they could no longer fit them into the winter greenhouses. I believe I read that they were given a noble retirement somewhere along the French Riviera where they could stay outdoors all year. Meanwhile, in terms of the people in the photos, I am wondering if olive green was the colour of the season.

Thank you everyone. I do enjoy taking my photos with the intent of mixing different elements. The tower in both shots was deliberate. Deyana, as soon as I look at the pictures I want to be there, I just feel so relaxed there, peaceful. I am glad you all enjoyed my photos! Cheers, Mich
