I just read a quick biograhpy on him. Quite an interesting man and artist. He is documented to have 14 children! With the possibility of many more... his estate must have been very difficult for the lawyers to work out. What was your reaction to having a private viewing to his paintings?

Cheers!
Mich

Quite exciting although most of the items are quite personal to her.

In 2008 one of his paintings went for $33.6m. Seems an unbelievable figure to me.

There was an excellent programme on the box about him a couple of weeks ago. He just painted constantly (except when fathering children I presume.......).

Yes Mick I did see that one that sold for 33.6, Sue Tilley, Benefits Supervisor, my my she was a brave lady to pose for those long sessions in that pose.

Is the daughter's art collection more of his personal family art?

I cannot imagine having all that art and not having it insured? Thank goodness she came to her senses. I imagine it will be an expensive premium for a collection such as this, but necessary.

Cheers,
Mich

Mich, it's mostly personal family art.

She hasn't agreed to insure it yet...........

She also has about £350,000 of his etchings which I do insure.
