Post your random thoughts on here.

Mine - I've got SO much more painting to do, I best get on with it. :P
Posted by deyana on Aug 1, 2009, 6:04pm
Watching paint dry is such a thrill (not) :-/
Posted by kerouac2 on Aug 1, 2009, 6:14pm
Did you paint yourself this time?
Posted by deyana on Aug 1, 2009, 8:05pm
I sure did! But luckily this kind of paint just washes off. :)

I've had enough of painting for one day, start again tomorrow...

I am so annoyed trying to watch a good movie on cable TV and the sound on that channel is set way low during the movie that I have to turn the volume on up to high, then when the commercial comes blaring on, it disturbs the neighbors.
Posted by bixaorellana on Aug 2, 2009, 4:32pm
Gyllen ~~ get headphones! It's a great solution if neighbors can hear each other's tv sets, for people sharing a house, etc. I used to use them, and in some ways they are preferable. I find most tvs deliver muddy sound which becomes much crisper through headphones.

Loud commercials are a time-honored trick of American television, based on the concept that half of the viewers have fallen asleep and won't it be a good idea to wake them up to buy our product?

I worship at the altar of the mute button.

My random thought is that I wish there weren't threads entitled "random [whatever]". Kind of makes it seem that a forum doesn't need sections, just one long rambling thread.
Posted by gyllenhaalic on Aug 2, 2009, 4:40pm
Good idea, bixa, I do have headphones, but they creep me out. Maybe I'll do that.

Very astute observation, k2!

BTW, I'm watching "The Client" with Susan Sarandon making Tommy Lee Jones look like an ass. Great flick.
Posted by deyana on Aug 2, 2009, 4:49pm
Sorry Bixa! But sometimes I just don't know where to post my 'stuff', and don't want to accidentally put it in the wrong place. Especially when it comes to photos that I take that seem to go nowhere...
Posted by bixaorellana on Aug 2, 2009, 4:50pm
Make a new thread!
Posted by deyana on Aug 2, 2009, 4:52pm
But then I'll be making too many threads. It'll just show up my hyper side!
Posted by bixaorellana on Aug 2, 2009, 4:53pm
;D

Ay, Deyana, Deyana, Deyana ~~ to know you is to love you!
Posted by deyana on Aug 2, 2009, 4:56pm
;D
Posted by kerouac2 on Aug 2, 2009, 5:24pm
I make lots of ignored threads. Everybody else's loss.
Posted by deyana on Aug 2, 2009, 6:43pm
I usually try and look our for ignored threads and post something.
Posted by spindrift on Aug 2, 2009, 8:13pm
Yes, Deyana - we all love you ;)
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 12:00am
aww...thanks Spinny. And here is a song for you, it always reminds me of you :)

I love how deyana's atavar keeps changing.
Which one is the REAL deyana?
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 1:23am
That's the real me, Kimby :)

I might change it soon though, next one will be the moon through the trees one.
Posted by kimby on Aug 3, 2009, 1:26am
Hard to believe you've got several kids, and almost grown up, too!
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 1:32am
You do remember what you said about darker skinned people having 'oily' skin huh Kimby? My son took that pic a few weeks ago.
Posted by kimby on Aug 3, 2009, 1:33am
(wishing I had oily skin, sigh)
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 1:33am
Would you like to put one up of you Kimby? Some of us have already, I'd love to see it.
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 1:36am
My youngest boy is 10, I wish he was grown up, then I could go on some adventures by myself for a change!
Posted by kimby on Aug 3, 2009, 1:47am
It feels a bit creepy to put my IRL pic up on the forum - besides, I like my hermit crab - so I'm sending it to you via PM instead, Deyana, since you asked.
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 1:58am
Thanks for the picture, Kimby, it's just lovely. It's nice to put a face to the name. :)
Posted by spindrift on Aug 3, 2009, 8:43am
Deyana - that song is overwhelmingly beautiful and nearly made me cry! I shall buy the CD....how did you know that i love Motown?
Posted by deyana on Aug 3, 2009, 12:08pm
spindrift, I had no idea, I just thought the song was just you, a lady through and through. :)
Posted by spindrift on Aug 3, 2009, 6:17pm
I couldn't receive a higher compliment than that..... :D

What you give to me I send back two-fold to you!
