What a precious story! It was so sweet of you all to plan this, and your gag was the perfect piece de resistance. Love the photos, they do indeed capture the happy occasion. The smiles on your parents' faces says it all.

Coming from a family of six kids, you must have tons of great stories!

The last picture is him with his beloved ipad which he saved up for.

He's a big lad too - youngest in class but second biggest.

Very good with his hands - always want broken electronic items to see if he can repair them. He saved some broken speakers from being thrown out and now has surround sound in his bedroom.

However, he is dyslexic and his reading and writing abilities struggle at times.

I have located a rare photo of the elusive Kerouac family. The moustache on the left might be the older brother. The well fed older people are probably the parents, and I believe that young Kerouac might be trying to hide in the back.

well we were mainly waiting to finally be married and allowed to spend time alone with each other again... mr. r. is tired more than thoughtful in the photo, i guess: had to get up at 6 a.m. that day (even though our wedding was in the afternoon) because he had to attend a three hour confirmation service in the morning...

Rikita - Yes I thought you both looked 'pensive'.....but what an unusual and lovely wedding dress!
That reminds me.......today is our 41st wedding anniversary and before we tied the knot my husband had to be Christened (not baptised as some churches do) and confirmed! I was taken through all those stages in the Anglican Church by my parents but his parents belonged to no set church & neither did he. We both joined the Presbyterian Church before marrying and they required his christening and confirmation before marrying us, but I was OK ;)

Rikita you looked elegant and regal! Your gown and your husbands attire look very comfortable, at least when being tired, you do not seem that your were uncomfortable as well. It must have been a beautiful ceremony.
Cheers!

happy anniversary tod!

well the dress is in fact a sari... it is very pretty, unfortunately i don't get to wear it that often... comfortable - well, it was very warm there, so we'd kind of have preferred to wear something thinner, but then, we wanted a traditional kerala wedding...

the confirmation in this case wasn't one he was participating in - the thing was, that since we stayed in a small village we couldn't live in the same house until we were married, so mr. r. was staying with the bishop of the area (who lived about an hour and a half by bus away from where i stayed) until the wedding, and the bishop took him along to all the services he did... i on the other hand could sleep in before the wedding...

Wow -- George is every bit as handsome as Joe & with a great personality shining through also.

Absolutely love that picture of you, Rikita. You both look appropriately solemn and you are glowingly beautiful. So many women can't pull off Indian dress, but you look born to wear it. That white & gold with your glorious hair -- perfect!
