Is there a way to place this valuable info within easy reach?

A few thoughts and an update...The reason that I put this thread together originally was to have the wealth of technological information together in one place for easy access. Some of us are 'less gifted' technologically than others. The obvious starting place is Port Authority, but I suspect many people never go there. I have found that the Explanation of the Message Buttons is great. I often refer to #2, the Picture Posting Workshop, http://anyportinastorm.proboards.com/ind....ead=1909&page=1 In particular, the information about text and photo alignment is excellent.
These are two that I want to add:
26. Important message about picture size, http://anyportinastorm.proboards.com/ind....17&page=1#69991 *the small '+' in circle is a good clue.
27. Color alterations and photoshopping ethics, http://anyportinastorm.proboards.com/ind....ead=3813&page=1 Excellent discussion that needed to take place.

I think there might be a special zone coming up soon for all such subjects.

Please note that #19, how to make a live text link, was just updated.
Your list is the greatest, Jazz!

I don't know the reason why I am or rather my computer is unable to download whatever any of Only Mark's picture posts? Any advice would be most helpful. It's very frustrating.

WHAT! WHAT! You don't know what you're missing. In a recent poll for "Forums Magazine" my posts were regarded as life changing and the clear winner in the "best out of focus shots" and runner up in the "sand coloured and dusty" category. The text gleaned praise from eminent authors like William McGonagall, the great Scottish poet.
Maybe you can't get Photobucket photos or something? I'm sure there's a solution, if not I'll mail you the post just with the links so you can try and open them up that way.

Hee hee, Mark!
Seriously, his photo threads are outstanding, illuminating, and really worth viewing multiple times.
Casimira, has this gone on over a period of days, or did it only happen a couple of times? At times, each of the photo-hosters can be balky, making it hard to open photo threads.
Try this: Open the thread that gave you trouble. DO NOT scroll. Don't touch the thread at all. Give the pictures time to load.
While they're loading, you can right-click on any of the Board titles at the top of the page, or on Home, and click on "Open in new window". That will allow you to keep browsing the forum while the balky thread is loading.
Another thing to do when most, but not all of the pictures in a thread have loaded: Right-click on the non-opened picture and select "Reload Image" (in Firefox -- I think in IE it says something like "show picture").
Have you done a disk cleanup or disk defragmenting lately? That can sometimes help things run more smoothly. Also, this can be a quick fix: Click on the two little monitors shown at the bottom right of your screen. A window will open showing Local Area Connection Status. There are two tabs -- click on Support. Click Repair.
Almost always you'll be told that Windows "did not detect problems with this connection". Just ignore that and click Repair anyway.
Finally, what browser are you using? If you're using FF, try switching to IE, or vice-versa.

It happens with all Only Mark's photo threads. I don't have a problem with any others. A thing comes on the screen saying I don't have the right" script"??? If I retry, the computer crashes. I have tried other browsers. I prefer FF. I don't think that's the problem.

Tried again this morning... after waiting for a bit,and not scrolling,a box comes on the screen that says: Warning, unresponsive script,A script on this page has stopped responding, you can [/b[b]]continue or stop. If I press continue, the computer then crashes.

Mark, I posted this when you were out of town. Would you mind looking at it, please? http://anyportinastorm.proboards.com/ind....71&page=1#78772
(and the answer to the last question in the thread is yes, I did try that)
Thanks!

On every page? If it's only on some then let the page load and then look down it. It's usually a photo. No?

My screen is stretched on this thread, even without viewing the links.

Mine is on every thread in every section, that is the whole board. It used to do it way back when and Wizard fixed it. (It may just be the computer I'm using on holiday)

Is the writing bigger? Press Ctrl and the minus sign at the same time a couple of times. Does it make the writing too small?

Well switch it off then and go and do something else. Swimming, picnic, walk in the woods etc. I remember when I used to do that.

Spindrift and Casimira ~~ is this the effect you all are getting?
![[image] [image]](http://i42.tinypic.com/xlvuaf.jpg)
I had it early on, when the forum first started. It stopped, and a couple of months ago the problem re-occurred, except no one else seemed to be affected. It stopped by itself, I guess because of an update or something, so it probably does have to do with the individual computer. It's very irritating.
