Yes, we have given him condoms. And yes, it's a big age gap, and she's too young, but I don't think we could do anything to stop it. They plan to marry in 2013. I guess eventually they will either break up or she will get older. (And we should speak more to her parents...)
Little things that mean a lot...

What sort of cheese was this? A plain curd cheese? Chillies would be good with that. |

Aw, Kerouac -- you must have been really moved! That is touching.
Baz -- yes, that would be a thrill. The blankety-blank chickens belonging to my neighbor got into my garden while I was away for Christmas. Every single thing that's emerging now is being greeted like the prodigal son.
I routinely put pickled chiles or cayenne powder on any kind of cheese sandwich. It's a marriage made in heaven.

Ok, Jazz wins!
But I am still happy my darling mother in law split a buy one get one halibut steaks deal with me.
If I buy two packs, one steak is extra, and if I buy one someone doesn't feel like they got enough, so she was nice enough to take the extra off my hands. I hate wasting food. |

| And I would think being able to preface "mother in law" with a sincere "darling" is a little thing that means an awful lot! |

Even if its for the halibut!
Pain perdu looks wonderful. Jazz, I'd imagined you living a bit farther south, near College. Odd, eh? That isn't quite the northerly Little Italy on that street, which is a bit farther west...
Are they Basques? There is a Basque flag on their site. |

Baz - that Chilly Cheese sandwich was simply melted cheese on toast (something like a cheddar) but it had chopped fresh green chillies in it. |
