Gladys Horton and her adorable front teeth
I read in her obit today that she adapted this one from a friend's blues song.

I guess I've mentioned this tenor before, but am going through another YouTube phase of him. His Playlist as I write Valentines.
Here he reacts to applause, then nails an encore of Una Furtiva Lagrima.

Thanks, Annie! Keep your eyes open for a tv documentary/show called: DON'T KNOCK THE ROCK U.K. 1964 U.K. Granada TV special. Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, The Animals, The Shouts, Sounds Incorporated, Others. Classic vintage performance footage. Gene in his leathers surrounded by motorcycles. Jerry Lee pounding his piano, hair dangling wildly! Little Richard struts his stuff! The Animals give it all they've got! Don’t Knock The Rock U.K! (there is a 1956 movie by the same name, but not the same thing) You can find fuzzy clips of it here and there on youtube -- bad quality, but will give an idea of the excitement. Peculiar caption, but from the same show: And one more Jerry Lee, just cause I can't stop myself ~ Here's a bio on Little Richard -- great reading! www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/nge/Article.jsp?id=h-1705

Just about anybody who speaks French thinks that this song is the most beautiful love letter ever written to the city of Brussels -- 1974 by a Dutch singer who lives in both Morocco and the south of France.

Still in the mood for Freddie and Queen. I love his power and the beauty of his voice and I miss him tonight. He left us far too soon.

This woman has a powerful voice. Excellent contralto. Lisa Gerrard, Sanvean (I am your shadow). The language it is sung in is "idioglossia".

Probably more well known in the music world as a producer, this fabulous New Orleans musician not only produced some of New Orleans finest talent over several decades,he composed and performed some timeless pieces of his own as well.. This particular song of his I heard Friday night again, and remembered all the more reason why I live where I do. I give you,Allen Toussaint performing, Southern Nights.

Uh-oh, my attempt at sarcastic humor has failed. Lest anyone think I really enjoy the song in the above post let me state that it is my new favorite "worst song ever". This little ditty hit the internet about 4 or 5 days ago and has since racked up about 13 million hits on You Tube. I believe most of these hits have come from people like me who just love a train wreck.
