I have never understood the motivation of people who put their names on a tombstone before they are dead. In this particular case, it seems clear that the parents wanted to be buried with their deceased children, but I can't imagine anybody being 100% certain of where they will be buried no matter how carefully they have made their plans.

Well, it is an unusual circumstance to be predeceased by two children, except in the case of a genocide or other cataclism.
