We're going to have great year-round sunset-watching when the lake cottage is finished.

That's what I'm wondering! Progress is being made in fits and starts. The cabinets went in then three were pulled out to be replaced with cabinets of the right size. The tile man showed up to tile the shower and then called to say that he couldn't continue as the bullnose tiles were mismatched. It took two weeks to get Emser Tile in Ontario, California, to send the right tiles. It was their mistake, yet they would not send them express delivery.

We think the inside could be done in about a month. The grading and paving and stonework and exterior painting will come later.

Thanks mich. I did slow down to have a look at those two sunsets. They reminded me that beauty can be found just about anywhere. Something about a nice sunset that makes you focus just on that. :)

Wasn't sure about this one. It's facing east so no sunset, but it was the early evening sky today.

Kimby, your picture is so serene & lovely.

Imec, that's a great pic. Its subtlety would have worked in "Light" as well. I am really drawn into that expanse.

Thanks, bixa. It's one of my favorite pictures, too.

Although our home in the woods is "shielded" from view of sunsets and sunrises by mountains on each side, I think we'll be enjoying a lot of sunsets at the lake cottage.

These were all from one sunset, last Wednesday.

BTW, I just noticed that in my sunset photo from March, the sun sets a lot farther south than in this series from June.

Well, my house is in the same state, but I haven't ever seen a sunset from here - too many trees and foothills blocking the view to the west. Sometimes the higher clouds get kinda pink though, and then I know that the folks in town are enjoying a spectacular sunset.
