*sings* I had some dreams, they were clouds in my cattle tank, clouds in my cattle tank ........

Kidding aside, that's a great picture, Gus, with the crackled earth and the scummy but precious water.

The clouds in the window look like they're moving, with the double reflections on the edges -- quite beautiful.

Love these photos! K2's rice paddy is to die for. And deyana's battle plaque reminds me of the wonderful reflections off the Vietnam memorial "wall" in Washington, D.C. Anyone have a photo of that? (I haven't been there since going digital.)

This brand new bank just went up across the street from one of the oldest remaining buildings in Missoula, Montana, the Missoula Mercantile, built in dirt street days and continuously occupied by a retail store (The "Merc", Bon Marche, Macy's) for more than 120 years....Until Macy's closed their doors last month. Sigh.

Thanks, Kimby. Yep, your photo is very similar to mine. It's good that they keep the windows so clean and shiny.

hm depends how you define it - i am participating in that getty program on flickr, but only sold two photos there so far. one of those was (according to the stats i got) bought by a magazine - so i suppose they published it... but not publishing photos regularly, and before i could do so i still have to learn a lot... but i love photography, and wish i had the time (and money for equipment) to learn all i can about it... oh well, one day...

Oh my god. There are so many excellent photographers here, I get completely overstimulated when I look through any of the threads on the Image Bank. This page alone...The tree reflected on the rainy street, I love. (you do excellent rain shots, Kerouac)

Your photo is beautiful, Rikita...the colors, the composition. Is it a cathedral or arches underground reflected in water?

Baz, pure and simple beauty.

Gertie, if you are just beginning to visit the photo threads, you should know that quite a few (but not all! 8-) ) of the photos posted are complete accidents. It is often after the fact that some of us discover an appropriate use for a photo.

Imec, I thought I was immune to water shots such as yours, having been exposed to so many of them on La. calendars, etc., but your photo is truly exceptional. It's so crisp and serene, and the colors are so delicately varied.

Neon snoitcelfer on the water, Kerouac? You must have been in heaven!

How did you catch the water so still, K2? I would expect boats passing to ruffle the waters most of the time.
