NB is the only official bi-lingual province in Canada, so the road signs are all in English and French. What language are the road and street signs where you live and would you like to post some pictures of them? p.s. Whenever I drive to Montreal, Quebec, (our next province going West), I always know when I've crossed the border because the signs are either all in French or French first and then English.

This is the perfect opportunity to post this. Maybe Lagatta can tell me what it means. I took it on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River near the Heritage Museum.

Oh, I know what it means, but the word is not used much in France -- no private buses (as opposed to municipal buses). "Nolisé" is real French for "charter" but in France we adopted the English word.

Informational signs in the Paris metro are usually in 3 languages besides French -- English, German and either Italian or Spanish. I find this one very strange for not using German.

This can be seen outside of a local butchers place. He and his team will clean, cut and package large animals such as cows, deer and moose:

I've just read through those signs, Bixa. And it's funny how, even though I don't speak or know the language, it's still possible to make out what's being said. European languages (or ones that originated there), all have a lot in common... Latin being the common factor.
