Really super cloud photos all. I miss seeing the sky, here you just get peeks between the trees it seems, no sweeping panoramas.

Clouds Over Carrollton (LA)

Oh, those are great clouds!

Such delicate tints in that Mekong picture, HW. It's beautiful, like the inside of a shell.

High skies over Carrollton -- wonderful!

I wish I had an over-sized poster of the photo above -- so serene.

What wasn't serene was the weather Hurricane Rick delivered here this evening, although it was dramatic and beautiful. I think it was around 7:30 when I noticed the strange yellow light outside. I did nothing to the pictures below except resize them.

I aways like to see sheets of rain in the distance.
Posted by casimira on Oct 23, 2009, 9:08pm
Quite something. That last one is so like a painting with the teeny lights down low.
I love this thread.

Late afternoon, All Souls Day, Nazareno.

Maybe I'm being overly fanciful, but in the last two pictures it appears as though the visiting dead are beginning to return back from whence they came.

All very nice, but do those clouds produce rain or not?
Posted by bixaorellana on Nov 4, 2009, 8:26pm
Not really. :'(

They are beautiful B. Something about clouds captured at that altitude...they speak "the heavens" somehow. Why I always love looking out the windows of airplanes.

;D In my family, we call that kind of sky a "holy card sky".

Go on ~~ admit how immensely cool my pictures are!
