Topic Summary
Posted by rikita on Jul 15, 2010, 12:45am
So here the thread I was talking about - post photos that have been altered with photoshop or a similar program - I am not talking about some cropping or adjustments to improve the photo, but rather that they were obviously changed for a certain effect...

here is my first... an interesting animal that flew in front of my lense...

looks great, bixa! btw, is there some writin on one of the leafs of the plant?
Posted by bixaorellana on Jul 20, 2010, 4:21pm
Thanks, Rikita. That's mostly using 'curves' in Paint.net.
Yeah, someone carved a name or something on the plant. It's in this public garden (reply#1).

It's a gardenia, no? I can almost smell it....
Posted by hwinpp on Aug 23, 2011, 8:14am
Looks like a rose to me.

It's a gardenia, but I can see how it resembles a rose.

Kimby should skip this next picture.

No, I really like it. (Of course it doesn't look "real" so it doesn't arouse my bee-phobia.)

Very artistic. I wish I could work with Photoshop a bit.

How did they get her to hold still long enough to attach the neon tubing to her outlines?
Posted by amboseli on Feb 25, 2012, 5:44pm
Yes, it's beautiful, isn't it?

Thank you Bixa. I do have Paintshop on my computer and I can do the easy things but I have no clue how to work with various layers, vectors, etc.

I'm a pig! I thought I'd commented on NYCG's photos. I love the treatment on each of them -- the first with the woman's eyes just pulling you in and the second setting the mood so perfectly, you can almost hear the music.

Great shot. I find it somewhat unnerving, for some reason.

The Klan has just adopted a new colour scheme.

Here is one that isn't quite as obvious (so might not fit the definition of this thread, even though i wrote that myself) - but there was big writing on the balloon originally. was quite a bit of work to remove it...
