This dog proves that it is possible to be too cute. I just want to chase away the horrible creature with a baseball bat (which is probably better than smashing it to a pulp with one).

Now Golden Retrievers are drop dead gorgeous.

I believe that in the UK that is not done. It's a really grotesque practice.

Is that how pomeranians generally look? I googled them, & they do seem to have more ear than Boo. Finding him cute enough to warrant a book and all that web space says more about humans than it does about dogs. However, the cuteness factor can be exploited in a really positive way.

I recently found out about photographer volunteers who go to shelters & take attractive pictures of the dogs there. This amazingly ups the animals' chances of being adopted.
This photographer was my introduction to this kind of program. There are similar efforts around the world. Look at this Japanese site. Every dog already looks like a pet, a powerful psychological incentive to someone thinking about adopting a pound dog.
