"...a 24 hour observation of all of the large aircraft flights in the world"

"...you will see the aircraft flow of traffic leaving the North American continent and traveling at night to arrive in the UK in the morning. Then you will see the flow changing, leaving the UK in the morning and flying to the American continent in daylight."

It's only just over a minute long, so worth a quick look.

And the day one of those science fiction epidemics really happens, that is exactly the route it will take.

Ohhh ~~ I didn't want it to end!

I wish my dad, who was in air traffic control, could have seen this.

Be sure to watch it in full screen to better see the progression of day and night. The planes flying west from Alaska and especially those flying east from Asia look as though they're floating off the edge.

I was looking at this again, and the accompanying music makes it look all so peaceful rather than the way it really is. :P

What's the name of that movie with John Cusack & Billy Bob Thornton as air traffic controllers? It really shows the pace and the stress.
