The weather has been so nice in Paris that before long people will probably start worrying about a drought.

This September was Winnipeg's hottest September on record - last week the average daily high was 26-27. That's all over now. Today's high is 12 and tonight's low is 0.

Here in W Washington state it's been perfect but we're due to have Fall weather hit tonight and once it has begun here, the rainy season tends to last about 8 months.

It has been cool every night (about 13°) but pleasant every day (23°). I don't know how long it will last.

Summer is dragging its feet and wanting to stick around here longer than I would like. >:(

Right now it is 103 (39C) and more of the same is predicted tomorrow. But the 10 day forecast shows that by mid next week it should 89-90 which much more tolerable since the temperatures can drop as much as 30 degrees at night.

Of course, I will be leaving for two weeks just the weather starts to get lovely. Figures.

We are anxiously awaiting a dry, cool front to blow it's way in some time tonight. All the cool season vegetable seeds we planted are presently looking a bit piqued.

No worries. I'll be in the city for 4 days, then only go into the delta. Should be gone by then.

Last night around just shy of midnight the weather turned, one could feel the wind pick up as the wind chimes started their chant. Then, a heavy rain accompanied by more winds. Magically, the temperature dropped easily ten degrees and this morning although, the sun is not quite up yet,I know it will be one of those cool, dry, sunny early autumn days one would like to bottle up and preserve. This is what we live for here after the steamy, hot, humid months of summer.

It has turned cold and nasty here: maximum 9c or so and windy. I'll have to wear shoes for the first time in months, and perhaps even gloves on the bicycle.

But no grave danger as in what looks like a vast area in the Asia-Pacific region.

At the moment the sun is shinning and probably will do for the rest of the day, it is getting cooler though. I find that we get many wintery sunny days, regardless of how cold it is. Probably the reason so many people have sunrooms around here.

No rain yet, but October already looks like October.

(Meanwhile, they've already started putting the electric cables in the trees on the Champs Elysées in preparation of installing the strings of lights.)

Unexpected rain this a.m. which puts a damper on my scheduled activities for the morning. Forecast to continue throughout the day. I guess I could clean the house. ::)

Yesterday was totally cloudless, with a sky so blue it looked photoshopped. Last night fairly late -- 10 or 10:30 -- a heavy, driving rain abruptly started. It was a nick-of-time, welcome rain, too.

Phhht. Last two weeks of September were glorious in London and southern England, now it's grey, cool, windy and distinctly autumnal. Time to start drawing those curtains, and settling down with tea, something toasted and buttery, and a trashy thriller on a Saturday afternoon.

yep, the weather couldn't quite make up its mind this afternoon. Wind "blowing a hoolie" as they say for a while and then tranquil autumnal blue sky for an hour before more black clouds and more wind. The weather changed sometime Friday afternoon.
