There are two ways to quote a post on this forum. One way is to use the Quote button on the upper right of any post. When you click on it, it opens a new message box with that post quoted. It will show who is being quoted and when the post was written. You can then write your Reply in that message box.
Any Port also gives you the option of accumulating quotes as you read through a thread.
Look at the bottom right of any post and you will see: Add Quote - Link to Post - Back to Top
When you want to quote a post part of a post, highlight that part, then click on Add Quote.
Note that when you click on Add Quote in a post, two new options will appear in the bottom right of that post: Add Another Quote - Remove Quote[1]
When you are ready to write your Reply, scroll to the bottom of the page. Below Quick Reply there is a bar that says: View Topic Summary | View Quotes
Click on View Quotes. You can now see all the quotes you accumulated. To use them in your reply, click on Insert Quote and the selected quote will appear in the message box.
If you use Reply instead of Quick Reply, it works the same way.
