I think this belongs in the Library,

I am fascinated by my friends and, if they read, what are their libraries like? Do they indeed, have a library? My tenants have devoted an entire 30foot hallway to their main library, floor to ceiling. In his office, he has a wall of books re Computer, psychological, socialogical and environmental books. (he is a psychologist and also loves the outdoors. He loves his kayak.) In her office, she has a wall of books of fiction...she teaches creative writing.
My sister-in-law despises 'clutter'. (a book...clutter!) Thus, she has one small bookcase and reads non-stop books from the library.
I find the 'staircase library' in the above site a brilliant use of space. I didn't do this, but going down my staircase, I opened up the wall between the 2x4's and have one of my libraries there. This is a great use of space and is aesthetically pleasing. I have four libraries in my home.
1. Sunporch: fiction, biography, autobiography, which I reread every now and then, history, environment, philosophy, overflow of Paris books.
2. Special 'Piles on Floor' ( beautifully piled) in the living room and dining room. These are Photography, House Design, Art and specialized Paris books.
3. Kitchen: Special and varied 'of the moment' for quick reference...of course, ALL food and recipe books, ongoing books of current interest, and personal journals.
4. Going Down the Staircase recessed library: Gardening, overflow of house design, art, travel, collections of special magazines.
