Those of you who regularly watch the news, please post a photo of your main news anchorperson. In France, I generally watch David Pujadas, on France 2.

I used to watch the news when we had access to television. BBC1 usually. Either "Breakfast" edition or 10:00PM.
can't get the pics I wanted .. of the Swiss anchor.

In terms of Swiss anchors, I know that lots of people really liked Massimo Lorenzi -- anybody who watched the TSR news on TV5 always talked about him.

Mexican news is heavy on editorializing. That's why I like this guy, Javier Alatorre. His program, Hechos de Noche (Facts at Night) presents the facts without bombast, although his reportorial zeal and compassion for the underdog shine through. He went to Bagdad during the early days of the war and did a nice job of showing daily life there.

These days, it is Darius Rochebin, K! He even has an IMDb entry to his name! but I haven't yet found a pic. (talking about french-speaking swiss television)

don't you think they all have something in common in their look? kind of non-threatening, almost fatherly but not too much look?
Except maybe Massimo who was real hot property when he was helming the evening news. But he's a genuinely interesting gentleman, I believe he felt hampered rather than helped by his beauty.

The news is threatening enough without the news reader being a scary person. Another rising newsman in France is Olivier Galzi. (Yes, we have plenty of newswomen, too, but the men seem to get a lot more attention.)
