That second hellebore is a lovelier variety than unusual. Doesn't it give you a lift to see the first signs of life in your garden? Oh to be in England....

Had to just nip out to the garden and snap these, they are both self setters or planted by the birds. Sorry the light was not good, after 4 on a February afternoon is not the best time, but as I assure everyone, "my middle name is Impatience.

An old chum pointed out yesterday that these hellebores are the orientalis variety rather than the Christmas rose one...which is white. I think I have one of those too...in bud atm.

Only just seen Amboseli's Christmas rose and Mossies first crocus picture - beautiful! Here is my Camellia which is currently fighting the awful weather -

Camellias are so badass as far as shrugging off weather. I've got a large, old specimen in the yard and I've seen it bloom anywhere from February to May! I think it'll be late this year due to the unseasonal cold.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a camellia....or a gardenia....or a magnolia....a flowering bushy thing. They get so big tho....

Spring has sprung, my gardener would have been pleased to see this surviving at least 10 years after she might have planted it, and more like 20. and these daisy thingummys

Gorgeous anemones Mossie. I like the hyacinth too...they always flop over in my garden so I don't grow them...

Mossie, from reading what you've written over the years about your gardener, I'm thinking that exquisite hyacinth is a perfect memorial for her.

The garden is starting to wake up in front euphorbia...3 different types cos I LOVE euphorbia...behind them are our blueberry bushes...covered in buds.. this flowering currant is a new addition so it's in a pot for now until I can think where to plant it these violas don't owe me anything...the've been flowering their socks off since November! This viburnum smells divine...wish it had more flowers on it tho. It flowers on new wood. When it's finished flowering it will be trimmed back as I'm trying to grow it into a lollipop shape..

So wonderful to see these Spring images from other parts of the world. Amboseli, your picture is the very, well, picture of Spring. Cheery, your garden seems to be very advanced for March.
