2818: The gold paint sprayed foliage added to bouquets by florists...it's always still wet and ends up all over my hands when I'm trying to arrange said foliage in a vase....

And it is "gilding the lily". Foliage is beautiful, unless the florists are gilding it to hide its condition.

2819. Roll-down country lists on websites to 'help' you choose a location. When you want to choose, say, France for some reason, often the screen will jump to make you click on Finland or Germany instead.

2820. I keep getting calls from my phone provider telling me I have to go to an office an update my details. I've told them the details are the same, there is no need to update, just put the same ones in again. They are not happy to do that. I told them I'm out in the bush and would need two days to get to the nearest office, so I'm not going to go. They said they could send a "team" to me instead. So I've given them the GPS coordinates of where I will be on Saturday morning at 10am. Funnily enough though, the coordinates are for their shop at a local Mall. We'll see who turns up.

2826. (numbering counting lagatta's post as number 2825) writing an email, sending it, then feeling it might come across wrongly to someone about who you already worry that you might be getting on their nerves, so you want to go back and change the wording a bit - but then realize that this is no forum post, so there is no "edit" function ...

I'm pretty sure that feature can be turned off. I just have spell check enabled, which puts a discreet line under words it considers to be misspelled.

Mick, on my phone I can do the following - Settings - All - Language and Input - Android Keyboard (click what look like slide buttons at the side) - Auto-correction - Off.
I can also disable "Next-word" suggestions and Correction suggestions. Under Advanced settings at the bottom of the scrolling down there are a few other options that are left as default.

Simple solution then. We swap phones. You send it to me and I'll send you my phone that cost me around £30 from here. Mine has the settings altered and your doesn't. I'll make do somehow with yours, I'm sure.
However, go to - Settings - Keyboard - tap the sliding switch thing next to Auto-correction.

I have the settings like Mark's. No auto-correct, no next word suggestions. So even Apple should be able to have such a feature.
