What fabulously creepy, scarily dark faery tale for kids !
Although I'd suggest the under 10's may be a bit too frightened .......

Wonderful film - very dark and very scary........best watched on the settee with your Mum! I love Neil Gaiman's books - they are fabulous...... This has been one of my youngest daughter's (nearly 11) favourite books for years: www.neilgaiman.com/works/Books/Wolves+in+the+Walls/

Quite honestly, I wanted to watch this movie, but was afraid it would be too creepy for me. I was traumatized as a child by an episode of Twilight Zone in which a little girl falls through a wall into another dimension.

Every child on the entire planet was traumatized by that Twilight Zone episode.

Yes, but some of those children grew to mature, rational adulthoods.

Bixa & Kerouac, your comment on the Twilight Zone (which I have never seen BTW) reminded me that kids can recoil in horror at something as unscary as an episode of Star Trek. My 7yr old son ran across from the TV with tears in his eyes and a trembling lip when he saw the Klingons landing on the backs of people in great big blobs to make a meal of them. What did I say to calm him down and allay his fears (so that he wouldn't be sleeping in mommy & daddy's bed for a week!) "Oh don't worry about those things darling.....can't you see they are just fried eggs someone is throwing at Mr.Spock and the crew" And they really did look like fried eggs!
