Great music in this thread. Here's one I came across today when I was looking for things to add to the Motown thread. Only it's not Motown, so I'll put it here.

One of my favorite songs of all time - sometimes find it hard to believe this was recorded in 1968 - ahead of its time.

I like playing this on driving down the highway, it has to be LOUD!

(Bixa, Hannah loved You Send Me. Thanks so much. It's fun to see her and her sister respond to this music. We went on a long drive together this spring, singing along loudly to Ray Charles, Van Morrison, buegrass CDs. PS: How do you get that fancy small print effect?) PPS:

deyana, I was sitting at the next table next to her in the Maple Leaf Lounge (Air Canada lounge) in the Toronto or Montreal airport once - I didn't recognize her - my buddies had to point her out.

You're kidding, you mean to say she doesn't always wear next to nothing and have her hair sticking up in pink and blonde spikes? ;D
So, tell me, what did she look like that day? What what she doing?

Just sitting at a table with an assistant having a drink - can't remember what, maybe coffee. Not particularly attractive without make-up and fancy outfit - she was wearing low cut, sweat pant type things.
I'm hopeless at recognizing people. I sat a seat or two away from Liz Hurley on a plane once - no clue - once again my buddies had to point her out. Sat with the Beach Boys all around me fro TO to Wpg once - didn't realize it until after. Sat with the whole cast of Canadian Idol once (never seen it - or the American one actually) - the only one I "recognized" was Sass Jordan - and even then, that was only after an assistant handed her an itinerary and I read the name off it...

imec, I'm the same. Not only do I not recognize famous people at all, but if I do ever come across them, I can't be bothered. I think this may have something to do with the fact that I worked in the West End for a while and met and bumped into so many of them, that the 'glitter' affect has worn off for me.
Oh and my ex-husband (now deceased) was a child actor in along running T.V show, years back. And he (and I) are related to some famous people, so it's not a big deal for me.

deyana, what show was your husband on? If you don't want to say for privacy sake, I'll understand... I only know one person very well who is somewhat famous. He played the coach in the movie Major League, and was in a million other movies and tv shows. He got a sword through him in Cold Mountain.
imec, I like a lot of Nine Inch Nails often to the surprise of my teenage son.

My morbid theme in 8 song game made me think of this. Of all the artists lost over the years, this one I miss the most. This song gives me the shivers.
