casimira, that is great!
Though that does not prevent me from hoping for a return to less-polluting rail as in "The Spirit of New Orleans" where feasable. I'm hoping the TGV between Boston and Montréal will become reality.

I suppose that I will be able to gloat when I have purchased my 5 cans of foul for 1€50 at the shop next door. Oh, maybe I'd better taste it before I gloat.

I happened on a sidewalk sale and was so happy to find two beautiful shirts in my size. I swear there somewhere is a woman that runs ahead of me and takes out all the good stuff in my size, but this time I outfoxed her. $5 each for two tops that started at $40 each. Although they are intended as winter, the sleeves are only 3/4 length so will be fine except the very hottest weather.

Can't!
However, yesterday I used some electrical cable I had (& which was paid for by my evil ex-landlord) as an *ahem* inducement to get the guys putting in the streetlight in front of my house to at least turn it so the post was between the bulb & my house.
Also yesterday, I finally got the blinking battery light/alternator problem correctly diagnosed, fixed while I waited, and paid only 50 pesos for this.

Surprise, surprise, I bought 5 cans of foul today for 1€50. Excellent deal. I love to buy exotic products from faraway places. Names written in "vermicelli" (as we say in France) are a sure sign that it will be truly different. Oh, those "far away" countries can be closer than you think sometimes.

Well, Italy and Tunisia are very close to each other. Spain and Morocco closer still.
How can you live in the 18th and consider Arabic script "foreign"?

the sleeves are only 3/4 length so will be fine except the very hottest weather. My swell bargains got eclipsed by the boring beans, as did Gertie's clothing coup. Gertie, in what part of Texas do you live, if you don't mind my asking? (it is Texas, right?)

Yes, I live near Dallas, half the time I stay in Plano and half in my own house in a little town on the Texas / Oklahoma boarder.
