Isn't Sadie wonderful as the feline reincarnation of some slightly louche belle d'un certain âge?
I finally scrolled through this thread from the beginning today, seeing so many wonderful little (and not so little) furry people that I'm a bit less sad furfriend wise - TWO friends' cats have cancer.
We won't even go into how heartbreaking large dogs can be, with their short lifespans.
At the airport (more later) I saw a beautiful white dog arriving, with his or her human. The dog had three legs, and seemed to be doing just fine.

Casi, Sadie is lovely. And Lagatta is that your cat in your avatar? The kittens are getting bigger, here's one I just took, I think they are starting to open their eyes a bit now: It's cute when the mom cat purrs away when she is nursing, she seems so happy and content.

Where's casi Casi, you are welcome to have one. Just make your way down to my place and choose one Here's how my cats behave. In this box are the mom, 5 kittens and the mom's brother, all cosying up! And here is one I just took, I love it when the kittens sleep on their back with their little faces up. So sweet:

Any chance the uncle is also the dad?
They ARE sweet, wish I could snuggle them and smell their milky kitten-ness!

They are very cute aren't they? Not sure, but I guess he could be the dad. None of the kittens look like him though. He is a sweet heart, very friendly, even with our big dog.

Kittens don't have much of a protective reflex, considering the positions in which they can sleep. That is such a wonderful age, when you put such total faith in your parents for complete protection that the idea of protecting yourself never crosses your mind.
One of my colleagues left work very upset this afternoon, because it is highly likely that the family dog will have to be put down, if not this weekend then the next.

Here's Brokie in her favorite spot in a sunny window where she matches the drapes. Yes, SUNNY! The snow has finally gone away and we have sunny days and warmer temps!! Yay!

That photo looks professionally posed. Is you cat "in the business"?

That photo looks professionally posed. Is you cat "in the business"? Haha. Thanks, k2! I just happened to be sitting on the foot of my bed, getting dressed when I saw her peek at me from the window. I grabbed my camera and this was the result. She's ALWAYS posing, with her arms crossed smartly. She also hugs my arm and lays her head on it when we are snuggling together. She's just a really sweet-natured kitty that I feel privileged to have.

Oh! I love Brokie Thanks, spindrift! So do I! To think she spent 2 or 3 years in a chaotic shelter and never let it affect her personality. Boggles the mind.

Sorry about the wuzzy capture, this is from my old webcam. That's Miss LaBon, our idiot cat. She's about the goofiest thing evah! Rawr! But loving and sweet all the same. This image probably explains what she is looking at and looking oh so concerned Our older kitty, Annabelle-Bob. DearHubs rescued her one sleety snowy night (she'd been hanging about his front steps for a while) when he let her come in "just for a little while". She had an infected paw and a lump in her side that turned out to be a healed over pellet from a pellet gun. Mucho deniro later she came back from the vet a very ticked off kitty half shaved in odd patches from all the treatments for her wounds, plus having been fixed. Annabelle is one smart cookie. Now it is over 14 years later, and Miss Bob rules the roost...well, mostly.

What a nice little kitty, gertie.
People can be cruel, I've heard of cases where heartless morons have pelted cats also.

Gertie - I love the names Miss LaBon and Annabelle-Bob.... do you shorten the 'Miss LaBon' to Bonnie or Missy?

I love those sweet kitties, but I think its time for another dog... This is my son's dog, although he stays with me one or two days a week. He is the happiest, most affectionate dog I know (he is a street dog that my son found as a puppy). And his name is 99:
