What a sweetie ~~ so pretty, too. Is that a standard-size bed pillow, Mick? She's a little thing, huh? Looks like she is BIG in personality.

Yep, standard sized pillow.
She's a cross between a Yorkshire terrier and a poodle. Very affectionate and very clever.

Perfect! It's true that dogs are social and like to know that the rest of their pack is somewhere around. However, if you stay in the house with your dog all day, you'll note that your furry companion devotes an inordinate amount of time to lazing around.
This does nothing to alleviate the guilt felt when you have to leave the dog alone in the house, guilt which the dog will enhance with tragic looks.

I have a new dog! She's a little bitty thing...a dachshund- chihuahua mix, I think. She's 2 years old and her owner recently passed away. We brought her home yesterday and she is still adjusting to her new world. I've always had bigger dogs, Retrievers and such. My son's dog, 99, is about 40 lbs...little Coco is about 5 lbs. This little munchkin will be an adjustment. Pictures to follow. Once she's "ready for her close-up..."

Hee hee hee on the Norma D quote.
Five pounds?! She is a little thing. I've never seen a dachshund/chihuahua mix. That should make for a highly intelligent doggy. Can't wait to see her.

I went to see a client yesterday who has acquired a new dog - a Labradoodle. It looks like a cross between a hearthrug and a small horse.

*snork*
Is it a cross between a Labrador retriever and a standard poodle, Mick? Interesting blend of personalities!

I have read that the most intelligent dogs and cats are the laziest, the ones that don't even react if strangers arrive as long as their family or master is present. This is because they are smart enough to know that there is no danger where they live, so why bother? "Stupid" animals are the ones who hide under the furniture or start yapping uncontrollably at every unexpected event.

*snork* Is it a cross between a Labrador retriever and a standard poodle, Mick? Interesting blend of personalities! It is Bixa. It's become quite the thing here in the past 3 years to cross various dogs with poodles as pedigree dogs have really become too inbred. The poodle strain imparts intelligence and Yorkies, Labradors and Cockers seem to be the most common partners.

As in "Agent 99" of "Get Smart" fame? Ha ha Kimby, I just learned tonight that 99 was named after a band, so no relation to Get Smart. Moving on, here is Coco's close-up. She's been here for a week now and is still adjusting. Her owner, who had multiple dogs, passed away suddenly so Coco is adjusting to a new owner plus no more dog buddies. She's managing, with just a few little hiccups. She's sweetie, though. Definitely a keeper.

She is BEYOND precious! I'd take her in a minute. Maybe you might not. The downside is that for the next week or so she has to wear a diaper. Its seems her former owner only dealt with the reproductive side of her boy dogs. I have had a lot of dogs in my lifetime, but never one in heat. Especially getting one 2 weeks after I had my rugs cleaned.

This is Clovis. Like any cat we have he came from an animal shelter. He is a bit bizarre. He was turned in to the animal shelter by his previous owners as he had a problem with "stalking the children". Gotta love a cat like that!

Yeah, really!
Glad to finally see pics of your housetigers, FMT. They have so much personality. I love the 4th pic down, the two of them poised to pounce.
Welcome to Priya & Priya's mom! What a pretty cat you have, Cheery, although admittedly she has that knowing look in the picture, that cat look that can be so disconcerting. Is she quite petite? What does her name mean, please?

I think Clovis just needs to work off all that extra energy. Hunting a kid for breakfast is a good way to start.

^He has transferred his energy for hunting children and directed it towards hunting for Mimilie. Strangely enough she seems to enjoy it......sometimes.

Cheers medears ;D Priya is a small, stocky cat...rescued as a kitten when a lot of feral cats were captured and neutered. The name Priya is sposed to mean 'Beloved' in an Indian dialect (used to work with a young girl of the same name...and she loved the idea of my kitten being named for her!)...we pronounce it 'Pree-yah' ;D Coco is soooooo cute...adorable pets on here chaps...Clovis is beautiful too...and Kiki looks a bit of a madam...(in a nice way...) and Harley looks full of fun.... ;D
