I’m thinking I need to purchase some liquor before next Tuesday. Something like a smooth bourbon to dull the senses on Election Day.

I think Cluedo/Clue is one of the most brilliant board games ever invented.

As a young child, I bruised extremely easily. Watching some of these cop shows, I'm pretty sure that if I were a child at the present time, my totally innocent parents would have been called in for questioning about child abuse. However, I do not at all remember how I got so many bruises so perhaps my parents were actually beating me senseless and should have gone to jail. Nevertheless, I suspect my brother or, more likely, my own breakneck clumsiness.

When you are wearing a mask, if your nose starts running, you can lick it away like when you were six years old and nobody will say that you are disgusting because they can't see it.

Should we feel happy to have seen a once-in-a-century event? Our parents and grandparents always implied that they had lived through things that we could never understand.

Our parents and grandparents always implied that they had lived through things that we could never understand The Boomers have lived through things that the grandparents would never understand as well. The shadow of the Cold War, nuclear weapons and trigger-happy Allies, the Korean debacle and the American/ Vietnam war which ended in humiliation after huge loss of life, Agent Orange and US and Australian societies split into fragments of "for or against". There are the good things too, but this is just to remind us that no one generation has a free ride.

Perhaps those who got information about Lagatta before can reach out again. After losing my sister to a head injury last year, I’m very concerned about Lagatta.

Reading more and more about the distress of university students when they have no classes and not much else to do, it makes me wonder if mobile phones have caused them to forget masturbation, which was a major activity for everyone back in my days.

I found this important up-to-date information but did not see anything about hair growing on the palms. Maybe it's an Australian speciality.

Can somebody explain to me why a pregnancy by the escaped royals deserves to be in the news? Is nothing of importance happening in the world?

I will explain in 2 words.
It sells.
Long gone are the days of information. Info published is info that sells. Royals are bankable.

I noticed the term “royals” used in a recent headline, Would calling them royals now be correct use of the term?

I don't think there is any accepted protocol for unroyaling yourself. You can abdicate but you remain royal. Didn't Diana retain some sort of title after the divorce? I confess that I don't really follow this stuff except when the media cram it down my throat.

What would happen if the children of the former royals turned 18 and decided they had something to offer the world...can they ask for their birthright to be considered and go back to being royal? The child/ren had no say in the errant behaviour of their parents and may still be able to claim against the deprivation of their rights. Any ideas, Patrick?

Any ideas, Patrick? Surely if these children have anything useful to contribute to the world, they don't have to be royals in order to do so? On the contrary, if they advertise themselves as being "royal", they will be suspected of using their connections to advance whatever they are offering.

On CNN, they were amusing themselves with the idea that if the new child is born in the United States, he/she will be a US citizen and could become president of the United States while still being 8th in line to the throne of England.

I wouldn't think it would be automatic. Princess Anne's first husband, who had no title, was offered an earldom which he rejected. Consequently Anne's children have no titles. Obviously they are in a better position to be granted titles from granny than other people, but they remain untitled.
