Unless I have missed something... that is a blown call. And a shocker at that too! He only called one runner out instead of the two. I Fu**ing hate the Yanquis!!!! Every bloody officialis in their pocket.

Correct BI - it's a massive f'up - on top of one or two other bad calls earlier apparently.

Yes, BI, I have always enjoyed watching Joe Torre take on that look of "eating nails". We'll get to see him tonight and I am rooting for his team. The Phillies are in. I'm happy for them. Pedro Martinez who was instrumental pitcher for Boston the year "the curse" was lifted did a fine job. (I lived in St. Louis when Joe Torre was a player for the Cardinals in the 1970's)

Maybe the cloud will have lifted by game time. Rain in the forecast for NY tonite. Pettite is pitching(can't stand him either) VS. Saunders,(don't know much about him). Let's keep our fingers crossed for the Angels. It's gonna be tough playing in Yankee Stadium.

Ah, that was my next question: when are the fucking World Series? Glad to know they have finally begun.
I used to be under the impression that the World Series occurred earlier in the year many years ago. Was that my imagination or was it true?

Oh,that's funny! I have never been able to afford any of those 'hazardous' seats so,have never come close. But,my favorites are watching from afar, when a player does go for a catch into the stands, and snags the ball. There is a certain kind of finesse in doing so.

Spring training is conducted in two states, Florida (home of the Grapefruit League) and Arizona (home of the Cactus League). I've lived in AZ for 15 years and last Friday went to my first Spring training game. What fun! The games are in much smaller venues than regular season stadiums, the tickets are cheaper and the environment is more laid back. I really have to do this more often in the future. I saw the San Francisco Giants and the Cleveland Indians, in case you were wondering. I also drank a few beers and can't remember who won.
