Those heaters must feel wonderful after coming in from the cold outside! Station??Gare de Lyon? Looking at the canal St Martin with the ice around the edges, makes it hard to imagine in a few short weeks I will be strolling under the new leafy cover of the trees Yes, with my sun glasses on!

Just fabulous. I'm just finishing a reread of Zola's, The Masterpiece. Any photo or reference to these places in Paris come to light are particularly inviting to my mind's eye. Zola's descriptions of winter in Paris are just as lyrical as your pics K2.

Thanks, but in the meantime it is still quite chilly. Most people want to see the Eiffel Tower under different conditions. Strolling down the sidewalk is not quite as pleasant. I thought that the Trocadéro fountains were lovely, though.

I'm loving all these ice shots, especially the fountain ones. What a treat! Although I hope it warms up over there before someone has to start fishing kids out of the ice water.

Woweeeee ~~ those could have had a thread of their own! Ditto what Cheery said about the fractured ice shots. The first photo also captured something that doesn't always come out in pictures -- how many colors there can be in frozen or partially frozen water.
This series is a triumph!
