I forgot to mention it's Ishakpasha Palace in Dogubeyazit near the border between Turkey and Iran. You can see the orange roof of my truck. It was bloody cold camping.

Gosh, Kimby ~~ that looks like the inside of a snow globe. It's beautiful!
Welcome, Amboseli & thanks for sharing that great picture. One of my favorite books as a kid was Hans Brinker. Your timelessly lovely photo brings back all my imagining of the scenes in the book.

Thank you bixaorellana. I'm new here, as you can see, would like to introduce myself but don't know where.
When at Kinderdijk, it was as if we stepped back in time.

I'll bet! Did you go skating?
It's a delight to have you here. Please just pick a spot & make a thread to introduce yourself. There is a recent new member who lives in Mexico & she decided to introduce herself on the Mexico sub-board. There's a Benelux sub-board in Europe if that's what you decide. There are also the chatty boards -- Free Trade Zone and Waterfront Park, if you prefer.

@ Kimby I do have some more, from Kinderdijk in the summer and from Zaanse Schans, both in the Netherlands. I'll have to check my back-up DVD's.
@ bixaorellana Thank you! I will write something on the Benelux board. BTW, I didn't go skating. We just walked a bit. It was soooo cold.

Perhaps a new Windmill thread in the Image Bank?
Or a travelog thread in the Europe board?

It's snowing today in Montana. We'll be skiing next week, so we don't mind.
But after that, no more snow please! (It has snowed here in June, though, after the trees have leafed out, causing all kinds of destruction.)

I know that there were snowstorms in Scotland and Wales this week. I was keeping up with the filming of a certain series in Wales and the DoP was freaking out because they were using fake snow for the shoot and suddenly had 9 inches of real snow -- I hope that the final result will look better.

Wow, Kerouac -- two very different but equally fabulous compositions.

Mossie! I didn't even realize you'd posted a picture until I read Lugg's post. There are six minutes between your super photo & my post which seems to ignore you. Don't know how it happened, but I simply didn't see your photo before. Thanks to Lugg, I have now admired and enjoyed it.
