Ian Frazier has published an account of his trip in The New Yorker magazine. I am urging everyone to get copies of the August 3 and the August 10/17 issues of the magazine and enjoy this extremely well-written, interesting and informative article.

Absolutely do not miss Simon Roberts' narrated slide show. Roberts provided the photographs for part one of Frazier's article.
Seamus Murphy was the photographer for part two, and his narrated slide show is equally compelling.

What a pity. I'd love to travel to that part of the world. I've been to Russia once and thought it was a fascinating country. What I'd love to do is take the TransSiberian all the way to Vladivostok - in winter.
