Soon I will be admiring the sunrise as I pop out of the subway to go to the office.

So beautiful! Imec, you really capture the subtlety of the sky's colors. That third picture makes me glad to be alive.

;D I just realized, pics like this should be accompanied by one of Jack Handey's Deep Thoughts.

Definitely worth getting up for. I'm slowly gaining an appreciation for the "early to rise" regimen.

Yesterday, going to work, I thought the sunrise was absolutely spectacular, but I didn't have my camera with me. So this morning, I took the camera, but it was a lot cloudier today. Nevertheless, here is what sunrise looked like at Place de la Concorde this morning. Yes, that is the Christmas Ferris wheel that stays there for two months.

So pretty ~ really breathtaking!
Guess I'm showing my age group here, but the first one made me think, "album cover!"

Sorry if you're growing wary of my sunrise pics Whom are you addressing, Imec? The only problem I have with any of your pictures is that they're so dauntingly good. I don't think you even saw my last group of cloud pictures, which were somewhat OTT in quantity. (we were posting simultaneously on that thread) These are totally, richly glorious! You know that sort of warm tingle that certain music gives you inside the ears? These pictures do the same thing for the eyes. Each one is perfect, but the second one featuring the blue snow is really superb. And I love the "fool's gold" at the end.

I hadn't seen your photos until now, imec. They are really magnificent. Casimira, the only thing wrong with your pictures is that I do not feel the warmth as I look at them! That's what I need now. I thought you were an early riser, but a hell of a lot of people had already been walking on the beach that morning according to the first picture.

We waited three snowy days to catch the sunrise reflected on Lone Peak at Big Sky Ski Resort in Montana. This is the view from our 9th floor hotel window:
