Oh my gosh ~~ that ethereal study in green and white of Kimby's followed by the delicate brilliance and form of Kerouac's poppies is a huge treat for the senses.

We came upon this in the middle of the road while biking in Wisconsin last week. It's an indigo bunting, sadly the only one we saw during our 2 week trip, and it was dead.

"not much" ~~ Lovely, fun picture, Dahuffy. Kimby, I had an indigo bunting in my yard in Louisiana, a huge thrill. It's a really good photo, anyway.

All of these shots are great...we need a thesaurus at hand to vary the superlatives.
Dahuffy, that is remarkable. Is that actually a watermelon, cut by an artist?

Fantastic blue there, dahuffy -- and the ripples are sensational. I am always impressed when you can take a picture of 'nothing' and come up with 'something'.

What wonderful pictures! Dahuffy, I love the deck chairs and could gaze endlessly into that blue water.
Kimby, I always associate blue! with Greece, and it looks as though that influence endures on the eastern coast of Sicily.
But I LOVE the photo of Cefalú. It's brilliantly composed, and the different geometric shapes and shades of buff are so striking against that very dark sea.

I think #173 is excellent. We have had a discussion, by the way, about color modification and such. Some are for and some are against.
I have heard that there are some changes coming to the site soon which should have categories to satisfy everybody.

Thank you. I can't take the credit for the photography myself,my 26 yr old Goddaughter is responsible for these. She has quite the "eye". If you think that these should be moved elsewhere, please feel free to do so,I won't mind.

Here's the link. anyportinastorm.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=3813Yes, the injunction against posting a photo taken by someone else (even someone WITH you and sharing a camera with you?) is so strong on here, that I was surprised that software enhancements of photos are so readily accepted....

Oh how wonderful! Kimby, that composition is subtle and delightful and I love the crisp detail, including the naturalness of it all. And Imec -- another breath-taking, almost 3-D shot! The range of gentler colors and the dazzle of sunlight on the rich purple makes for a fabulous photo. Here is my offering. I hope you will visit its home in the Ocotlán market thread, as well.
