Well, most of it seems to have been built around 1799, but I would assume that the stairs have been replaced a few times.

This is the place where I stayed in Phuket on both visits, the first time by myself and the second time when I took my parents, which was one of the greatest vacation memories of their lives (too bad that my mother's memories are gone).

I'd have thought yours were platains...
Mine are tamarisks, I think. They're coniferous.

Love the close-up of the bench! These boards are covering the top of a very tall old doorway.

What a composition in your first photo, Spindrift, with all the "entrances" and all that age. That mirroring of old and new uprights in the second one is great, too, especially with the marine worm holes.

Except of course that it is Ta Phrom and not Angkor Wat, but we are not nitpickers, are we? I knew that (see blogs.bootsnall.com/AuntKim/greetings-from-ta-prohm.html for proof. Anyway, my picture is labelled only "Cambodia"). But I was giving the benefit of the doubt because the temples are all sorta lumped together under the general heading of Angkor Wat... I LOVE your last wood photo, and can't wait to see more of it.
