Is not much fun. I'd rather work locally, as that'll give me more time at home with my kids and less highway driving time. That leaves me with very little choice. They do need someone at the local country store, and the owners know me and have asked for me to drop in a resume. See how it goes. Wish me luck!

Oh yeah, and I'm so looking forward to greeting the various cowboys that wonder in there...

Well, exactly annie. Having kids changes everything, I'd rather spend the extra time with them, then in some office in town talking to people who mean nothing to me.

Yeah, the hours of a job of exotic dancing might not be appropriate for family life.

Yeah, the hours of a job of exotic dancing might not be appropriate for family life. Hey, as long as it pays the bills, right? ;D Now that's an idea, the local pub is looking for a bar room singer...

I think working in a store like that could be fun. Not all the way to retirement, though.

I've got the job! I took in my resume and had a quick interview at the same time and she asked me to start after the Christmas break. Kerouac, yep, I think it will be fun, especially as I seem to know many of the people who go there already. t63, I know what you mean. But I've always had the luck of the devil. Or perhaps I'm just in co-hoots with him, who knows?

Thanks everyone. It was quick wasn't it? The thing is I kind of knew they wanted me before I even gave in the resume. Infact she phoned me twice to ask for it. Kerouac, for you, anything. imec, no bear traps, plenty of beer though. hw, no won't be selling those, that business all goes to the gun shop further down the road. You can tell everyone has some kind of weapon in these parts can't you? Most are hunters.

Oh those! I don't think they sell pickles in barrels any more, at least not around here. I do remember seeing them as kid though. Brings back a rather gross memory of a rat being found in one pickle barrel, and yes, it was well pickled by the time it was discovered. *gags*

Deyana - good for you...You might get a discount on your purchases. What hours will you work and how often? Here is a Japanese pickle barrell. I photographed it in Arashiyama near Kyoto. The red script says: tsukemono - pickles.

Deyana, that would really bring in the American customers along the road. Get your future employers to get a Japanese pickle barrel!
