*sigh* This year we are pretty much staying at home, with a few short breaks to our little dog friendly getaway! We are saving for Egypt next year.

Oh, but I like the little dog friendly getaway. That's the place you've once posted pictures about isn't it ?

Nowhere very exciting this year I don't think. We will go to Spain to stay with the family for a couple of weeks in August as usual.
This could be a lovely holiday or it could be a torturous fortnight, depending if we manage to time it for when the SIL is off on holiday or is she will be around inflicting herself on us.

I will try to get away a few days here and there. I am only about 18 months late on my Thailand project.

We have many people visiting, which is lovely but still doesn't mean we get to getaway!

I just booked my ticket for 2.5 weeks to India! I'm a little overwhelmed, I'm leaving on the 27th of this month. And I am clueless about India. Ha.
The reason for the speedy departure is that the buddhist course I will attend got moved by a week. So my whole schedule shifted.

We are so up in the air. Most people here take vacation in February since that is when kids are on vacation from school, so we specifically didn't do that to avoid the crowds. We did take a few short getaways in January. Now we are toying with several ideas. One would be Buenos Aires/Uruguay probably in May. Another is Rio/Buzios during the winter here, so June or July. Another possibility is San Pedro de Atacama in the north of Chile with a possible trip over to Uyuni in Bolivia.

Kerouac, into Delhi.
Bix, thanks!
Iain, I thinks so- though I'm completely overwhelmed now. I'm sure once I am actually there it will be fantastic.

Thailand in September, a week to 10 days. Just next door and I've told my boss I will not look at a computer while I'm there! Don't really know what I'll do there, mainly it's for my girlfriend to see her family. Probably I'll just eat, drink and sleep in a hammock.

no idea yet. i will graduate in a few months, hopefully, so i have no idea what i will do after that and if i will have time and money to travel. i am planning to do a few weekend climbing-courses though, and hopefully a one-week basic glacier course...
