Yes, I was thinking how discourteous it was of him as well not to be posting constantly while he is in France. It never stopped me.

Perhaps he can't find an internet cafe - on the other hand he probably owns a Blackberry....

Could he be frittering away all that valuable time after midnight sleeping when he could be in an all night internet cafe posting to us?

When I think that I convinced Bixa to waive the $300 membership fee for him to join this forum, I really regret it now.
Oh, by the way, we have not yet received all of the cheques from the rest of you.

Give someone a star next to their name, look what happens. Give someone TWO stars well,I can only speak from previous experience but...the crown does weigh heavy. Sometimes people have to be reminded of their humble beginnings.

Are you all going to be bored if I post for the whole 28 days that Kirk and I are in Paris mid September -mid October?

Perhaps he is managing to have a second honeymoon, while the kids have found Parisian friends to hang out with?

We are very lucky because the apartment we are renting has free wifi so the laptop is going with. !!!!

Lots of rental flats now seem to have free internet access. That is a big help.

Poor Imec -- I understand he is in southern France right now and the weather is not very nice. Cloudy, not very warm and when he landed at Toulouse airport on Saturday, we were having a big thunderstorm.

You're not supposed to use a computer during a thunderstorm!

Actually -- I'm supposed to meet Imec and his family in Toulouse tomorrow and show them around a bit. I will tell him to stop enjoying himself and to sit in an internet café and keep everyone posted.
In fact, he told me they missed the connection in Frankfurt and got here late, so they missed the thunderstorm.

I think you ought to drop imec off at the nearest wi-fi ,and then proceed to show his family around. It's your responsibility to us bjd, tell him you have explicit instructions to do so. Please tell him "hi" and we miss him.

Good to hear that Imec & the family got there safe & sound. Thanks for letting us know, Bjd. And you all are going to meet! That is wonderful. It is so great for everyone, both for the famille Imec and for us. Just think, they can go on their merry way and Bjd will be able to fill us in on all their doings. Bjd, pleeeeease take your camera! It's fun to go to a place you know with tourists, as you realize afresh what catches the eye of non-residents.

I am so sick of that guy Gabriel. Why does he look so strange even after he lost all the excess weight he was carting around when he was grossly obese?
I know we need ads, but why are so many bizarre?

That is nice. Toulouse can be an oven in summertime. Last time I was through there was right after the big brushfires. Everything was parched. Does Imec know about the famous (or femmouze) Toulouse musical scene?

Given his long standing patronage of that medium I would well imagine he checked it out.

HI everyone -- greetings from Imec. I just got back from seeing them. They were happy to be in France (all that food!) and enjoyed Toulouse, even though visiting had not been part of the original plan.
I'm not sure Imec checked out the local music scene. He didn't know who Claude Nougaro was.
I did have my camera with me, but they took so many photos that I didn't pull mine out. We walked around the city centre, visited the [ftp=http://phs.prs.k12.nj.us/ccassagne/01127CA6-000F50D3.4/toulouse-capitole%20from%20top.jpg]City Hall[/ftp] and [ftp=http://www.toulousevisit.com/group/images/stories/toulouse/toulouse-saint-sernin-chevet.jpg]Saint Sernin Basilica[/ftp] and went for lunch.

Sounds like a lovely day bjd, I'm sure the imecs were grateful to hang out with a "native" of sorts. That was very gracious . How did you recognize one another? Was imec waving an Any Port flag? A t-shirt with STALWART on it? Do tell.
