Actually, I tried to send a mass email once but I completely screwed it up, so I never repeated the experiment.

Anyport has officially never sent a mass email to all members. Actually, Kerouac, the email referred to at the beginning of this thread, back in March of 2010, had to have been a mass email. Whether or not or why anyone did not receive it is impossible to determine at this late date.

Okay, thanks for answering that for me, Kerouac. I appreciate that.

Well, you know, if I may so, it is a good way to contact members, who may have forgotten the URL/bookmark for Anyport or have been away for some time for whatever reason. It does remind them to take a peak in here. I think it's a good thing to send a mass email once in a while for that reason...

Quite correct, like Kerouac said....I have never received an email from Anyport . On the other hand I do get mass emails from another forum, but that because they run so many competitions and the members are prompted to vote between certain dates.

I had an email from Proboards when it switched to this new format a few weeks ago. I had to sign up again -- just a formality.

Yes, we all received that email, but it did not come from this forum specifically.
