Those are lovely pictures, Deyana. I do not know the name of the red blossom on the tree but it's very pretty. My labrador used to love to go into puddles just like Angel If you throw a stick for Angel, will she retrieve it? or does she ignore it? Do you go for walks most days?

Thanks, spinny. I like the way this camera works, it makes taking pictures easy.
Angel will run after the stick, but won't bring it back! She's stubborn in that way.
I go for walks occasionally, but will do more so now that the weather is better.

Beautiful pictures, Deyana. I love to walk in semi-wild (but not in "totally wild") places like that. Not much access to those areas in Paris. When you wrote I was at least hoping for a photo of a wet and muddy dog, though!

Thanks.
fumobici, it does smell lovely out there right now, with all the different plants and their aromas. I really like it.
Kerouac, it gets wilder the deeper you go into the forest areas. I actually haven't explored much of the deeper wooded areas at all. I once got lost when I went about a mile in, it was a good job I had a compass on me.
She had muddy feet, but they are hard to see on the pictures. Sometimes she gets really messy and I have wash her down when we get home.

...Angel will run after the stick, but won't bring it back! She's stubborn in that way.. Angel's smart, not stubborn, she just wants to make the walk stretch out! Lovely, this reminds me of where I was raised, we had 20 acres of land and a river and a lagoon. Like Fumobici, I can almost smell it. Angel must be in dog heaven, this is the finest time of year for the trusty dog nose. I read somewhere that a dog's sense of smell is about a thousand times more refined than a human's? Do you live near the ocean?

Jazz, Angel is a Husky/German Sheppard mix, these dogs are known to be smart. She's a lovely dog, she was never meant to be mine, but my son's. But she has become closer to me than anyone else.
The Ocean is a drive away, but I do live around quite few lakes and rivers. It sounds like you were brought up in a lovely area, it must hold some good memories for you.

I'm pretty sure those mystery plants are called "fiddleheads" and are the first new Spring growth of ferns. Most are edible and some are considered choice pot vegetables.
Nice walk, I have to get out in the woods, I could walk for days on trails and logging roads near my house and never cross a paved road.

do you think they may be edible, fumobici? that's interesting. They are quite unusual looking plants.
Yes, it's a lovely walk. You sound like you live in the countryside too. I know what you mean, once you start a walk it's hard to turn back.

I believe the are edible. But I doubt I'd be able to find them again!
Yes, the woods are just lovely.

I take my dog walking most days. Usually near the end of the day. Here are a few things that we have seen on the way: A few days ago, a snake. It looks a lot bigger than it actually was, just the way the photo was taken: When sunset is near by, you can capture the most interesting lighting effects: We have a farm up the road and this year the farmer seems to have just let things go. The cows have been all over the roads. I never know when one is going to turn up as we walk along: (My dog chased these two into the woods. No idea how the farmer got them out (if he did) ! We had to run from this one. It started to chase after us! (I think it was the bull) The hay bales are nicely harvested now, ready to be shipped out to people who need them for their horses and cows. No doubt some will be stored in barns for the winter months: We get a lot of storms in this areas, aftermaths of Hurricanes that come over from New England, and the Cari bean. Looks like someone will be making use of this fallen tree:

Beautiful photo Deyana! Have you seen your farmer neighbour around? Seeing this makes me wonder if he/she is ill and perhaps not able to look after his/her livestock properly? It would be very startling to come across a Bull while out on a stroll, normally we just have to worry about the bears and they usually sense you first before you ever see them, but a Bull, scary.

What a bucolic, serene portrait of a daily stroll with your dog, the Bull not withstanding. And, a delightful scene of your surroundings.
I always come away with a sense of calm after taking my Papi up to the river but, nothing even comparable to this.
I am envious but, in a good way.
Thanks for sharing this.

Mich, I was worried about the farmer too, but I saw his wife going past the other day and all seemed fine. Come to think about it I don't think that one was a bull after all, but I know they do have them. It might be the end of me if I bumped into one I'm sure! The farmer really needs to take more control, I'm not sure why he isn't. The other strange thing is the cows are usually all gone by now, but this year they are still lingering around.. Sadly they are raised to be killed for food Thanks, I will add more photos to this thread at some point in time.

Well you already had a thread here somewhere a couple of years ago about going for walks with Angel. It might still be here. If I come across it one of these days, I might merge them so that people can appreciate the old photos.

You know, I thought I had made a thread about my walks some time ago, but couldn't find it. I did look for it. You are more than welcome to add these posts to the original, Kerouac. That would be great, thanks.

A few more I took recently: The bears always seem to go for these kind of berries. Or any berries actually! The colors of Fall are starting to appear: Can you spot the cow right at the end of that road?

It kind of has been, K.
We've had a nice hot summer, with very little rain and it extended into October.
Finally getting colder now, but as you can see everything is still very green and has only just now started to turn rustic.
We're hoping this will mean a short not too cold winter!

I'm glad that I managed to stitch your two similar thread together because now we can see all sorts of different seasons. But it is obvious that you will have to go for a walk in the snow to make the experience complete.
