Is the statue of Monsieur Choc much taller than human size? Pretty amazing.

Not an unusual photo, but I was sitting on a bench across from this shop and was amused to see that every single man between the ages of 40 and 70 who passed by stopped to scrutinize everything in the window, often for several minutes. Not a single passing woman gave the shop any sort of a glance. I finally took a look myself and saw that there was not a single model train car for less than 150 euros. There were some box sets of three for around 320 euros which seemed like a bargain in comparison. We men need our toys.

There are some real train nerds in the photography group that I am part of. Mostly , actually all, men .

Also close to home, at Genval, another character well known in zbelgium : le Schtroumpf. Some, apparently not judged capable of pronouncing it call them Smurfs.

Lovely! If you don't have to drive in it, fog is strange & beautiful.

A couple of years ago on New Years Eve we were at a friend's house and the fog came down. So much so when we drove home you couldn't see the sides of the road. Somewhat scary but going very, very slow was ok.

Not really unexpected in conservative Montana, but at least there wasn’t a Trump flag flying in the truck bed. Or testicles hanging from that multi-headed trailer hitch.

FAFO (the sticker in the rear windshield) stands for F*ck Around and Find Out, Google tells me. Not sure about the license plate, of several options Google came up with, the most likely is a radio-controlled racing buggy. A big boy’s toy.

Actually near the front door rather than on town. They’ve been there since the weekend. What do ypu think of them?

What does "on town" mean?

They certainly are! My daughter used them in a photo shoot.
I meant in town but couldn’t be bothered to correct it.

I found this street close to home which had the sewage system in the middle like in old times. of course it is now underground but we don’t often see these nowadays. However this design gave the meaning to the idiom to have the high ground - in French tenir le haut du pave : when you were rich you would walk on the side - on high ground - and the poor would stay in the middle of the street in the filth.

Quite a few of the pedestrian streets in Paris have the rivulet zone in the middle.

Of course in backwards countries it happens more often.
