Bixa, in the street in front of my house this morning, as large as life, was a beautiful mango! A lovely, large, orange red and gold mango, just sitting there. I ran upstairs to get the camera because I remembered this picture of yours so well. I wanted to say that mine was even more unexpected than yours because of all of the distance it had to travel. But by the time I got back downstairs:

All over the world, it seems like the preferred method of suicide for shopping carts. Here, too. Lizzy, your photo at #167 is striking.

A couple of years ago I was merrily taking pictures of a rail grinder (don't even ask, I'm weird), when something in my viewfinder freaked me out. Whew! It was only one of these: A welder's mask!

I thought it would be the ghostly green 'face' on the left of centre...in right profile, long hair and conical hat like medieval ladies wore. Eyes and mouth clear....creepy

Amazing scene, Kerouac. Are they protesting something or are they living there?

It's the Fondation Louis Vuitton, a new museum. It opened last year, but I still have not been to it officially. Designed by Frank Gehry.

I think S might enjoy going to the Fondation Louis Vuitton. I just need to figure out when to go. Bixa, is that the current style in Oaxaca?

It's a stunningly beautiful building, like nothing else. That first view reminds me of a dirigible or an ark, but then it explodes into all those marvelous unexpected forms. Just wow!
Htmb, re: style ~ yes it is, thank goodness, as it's so me.

An old piano mysteriously appeared underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. This lead to many photo ops.

Two very unexpected things indeed!
What's the story on the plane, Htmb? Were the Stones really there?
Was the guy posing particularly for you, NYCGirl, or just "in the moment"?

Oh, he was most definitely posing. He's a quirky friend of mine and he loves having his picture taken.
