I am so envious of you owning that clock from Istanbul!!! There were so many things that in retrospect I wish I had purchased when I was there. And, affordably. The most expensive thing that I bought was a sapphire ring that I had made for my mother as she had many times mentioned how much she would love to have a sapphire ring. It is now in my possession and love it I do. However, when I think about so any other things such as your clock I do have pangs of regret because I returned with money still in my pocket. Oh well...
