Leftover yellow organic corn grits (polenta), onion, sliced frankfurter, muenster style cheese. This exceeded expectations. It was delicious.

I finally had the pozole, for breakfast this morning. It was very loaded with shreds of chicken and hominy.
Four hours later, I ate an almuerzo of Sopa de Pastas that I'd just made. It was good, but not as good as the pozole.

Later on, since it's New Year's Day, I'm planning to have a little brunch. Smoked Scottish salmon on toast with drained yogurt and capres and some French caviar eaten directly out of the (very small) tin, some Champagne and maybe a small slice of Gateau des rois - but I don't hold much faith in my neighborhood patisseries. Probably a very good thing

Almuerzo: a taco de bistek, another of chorizo. Two glasses of OJ, after eating a chile toreado. (Usually a jalapeño or serrano chile that has been blistered i hot oil or on a grill. Eaten as a zesty snack.)
