Late breakfast, at Taquería El Venadito, in Pátzcuaro: 6 "small" tacos de birria, a cup of spicy consomé, and a large, freshly squeezed orange juice. Link to photos (I can't figure out how to embed Google Photos here): Tacos
Wait! I think I now remember:

Your breakfast is once again spectacular, DC. Gracias. With any luck, our ailing van (it's the power steering) will safely make the trip back to our mechanic and we can breakfast at El Venadito. We made it! The van is repaired. El Venadito wasn't yet open when we arrived so we went instead to Tacos Los Rodriguez, up the road about a mile. The concept is similar but the seating is inside and the caldo is more seductively seasoned. The tortillas were good and hot and frequently replenished.

Caldo Tlalpeño, after a couple of ham and cheese quesadillas a few hours earlier. Caldo Tlalpeno is a spicy soup with a chicken stock base, seasoned with chiles chipotles, epazote, garlic and onions. It also has some vegetables and importantly, garbanzo beans. This version also had some dried mushrooms and was served with rice. Something like this. Sad to say, we didn't have any avocados.
