Happy late birthday - I missed that thread
There were 2 events on 32st to highlight : - Our king Baudouin passed away 25 years ago - Whatagain's wife got married 25 years ago. And therefore my own life took a very good turn.
Have a good day you all.

Today the family gathered together and we celebrated my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary! Congratulations Mom and Dad! We had an afternoon luncheon. The highlight was watching my mom and dad talking with my sister from Ottawa on face-time, they were amazed!

Felicitations (or should that be Felix-itations?) to Livia and to Pearl on their special day! Pearl says “mew”. (I think that means thank you, bixa.)

Jasmyne is a short-hair tabby I rescued when she was 2. I think she must have been in a house with too many little children. She is totally neurotic, condition known as 'cat hiding' www.adoptapet.com/blog/cat-hiding-behavior-and-what-you-should-know/She lived under my bed for a couple of years, coming out to eat and use litter box. When my dog arrived Jas went to the top shelf of a spare wardrobe and stayed there. I have removed some shelves and she has an eating area, screened litter area and 2 sleep or watch the world go by areas. Refuses to come out or allow me to cuddle her. Will allow stroking with one hand, ditto brushing. She has been in the 3 level 'condo' for about 4 years...vet says perfect health, he clips her claws for me. Yes, I have a cat...sort of...

One of the advantages of being left handed is that since commercial mugs and cups are printed only on one side, you never have to see the name of the place.

Quote: Left-handers were also thought to consort with the devil, and being left-handed was sometimes considered proof that a woman was a witch and should therefore be persecuted or even executed!
Not that a stigma against les gauchers would have changed my life outcome in that society, with my series of black cats... (Livia and Renzo were both foisted on me, and Nadja was the only non-Siamese-pointed kitten in the litter, and other people wanted the "conspicuous" Siamese - Nadja was utterly Siamese in every other way, from her blue eyes to her annoying screech of a voice).
Livia doesn't seem to have a paw preference; I'm pretty sure Renzo was a southpaw.
Those chairs were also discriminatory towards: the disabled, the seriously overweight, naturally to students who were very tall or very short ... and pregnant women. But even at university, no one anticipated pregnant students.

Has it really been 12 YEARS since Pluto was demoted from planet to dwarf planet?!
That’s 12 Earth years. In Pluto years, it’s about 1/20th of a year.
“It takes 247.9 Earth years for Pluto to make one orbit around the Sun, at an average speed of 10,623 miles per hour (17,096 kilometers per hour).”

Thanks, Mossie -- didn't know that either.
They demoted it?! Isn't a dwarf planet still a planet?

They demoted it?! Isn't a dwarf planet still a planet? Nope. Now the mnemonic is reduced to: “Mary’s Violet Eyes Make Johnny Stay Up Nights...”. (He’s no longer “Praying”)

I sort of have a fondness for Pluto because my dad told me how amazed and intrigued he was when it was discovered. He would have been eleven at the time. I was amazed that a planet had been discovered within recent memory.
