You can buy more minutes for your mobile phone from the M&M's vending machine.

Both sides of this aisle are NOTHING BUT PENS for "back to school" at the hypermarket. Could there possibly be problems anywhere else in the world if we can indulge ourselves in such a choice of writing implements, just for our schoolchildren?

Kerouac, when you took these photos were you there the moment the store opened or, maybe midnight? Not a soul around.... And so spotless Pray, do tell the whereabouts? - those esculators remind me of Singapore but more recently La Defense.

I don't know whether it's OK to show images from professionals on this thread but I've just seen these on the BBC and thought they were so beautiful I had to share them. Sorry... www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11757843Please feel free to delete this post if it's inappropriate here

Indeed, the Image Bank is restricted to photos that you have taken yourself (or instructed extremely close family members to take under your orders!). I'm sure we can find a place to put your link, though. Give us a chance to look around.
(Nevertheless, I am thrilled that somebody finally had an idea to add to this thread, which I consider to be a worthy subject, totally unexploited.)

As I work in a hospital I get given them by drug company reps...I even have a Viagra Pen (it ran out you know....)

To reply to Tod2, this was at Auchan in Avignon in the middle of the afternoon. But it was mid-July and the "back-to-school" items had just been installed. It was a bit too early for most people to be shopping for them, especially in a holiday zone.

Cheery, as regards your Viagra pen, it reminds me of when I tried Viagra eye drops.
Really made me look 'ard.

It's supposed to be the biggest Mall in the Middle East. The central atrium will soon be decked out in Santa and his sleigh.

On my last trips to Cairo, all of the Middle Easterners would pile into taxis immediately to go to City Stars. I confess that I have not been there yet, but it looks identical to Singapore or Hong Kong.

What do modern people do when the power goes out? Some try to read in bed by candlelight ~~

I don't know whether it's OK to ........ For guidelines on using Image Bank, check the Welcome to our Image Bank thread. It's stickied at the top of the all the picture threads: anyportinastorm.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=2207If anyone is wondering, you can post photos of up to 800 wide x 700 high on anyport without the automatic re-sizer kicking in. All of the big pictures on this page are in the 800x600 size range. They fill the space nicely, don't they?

It's a modern life when your grandson prefers to play on your computer no matter how many toy cars you offer him!

Those eyes just pull you in! As I have said before, he is absolutely gorgeous. The children learn so quickly since they now have such interactive games on the computer to play. Cheers! Mich

This moring I had my first speech therapy appointment at the new Hospital that opened last week after about 20 years of planning and fund raising.
I was overjoyed at the modern equipment, the serene enviornment and the smiling faces.
The only negative comment is the Doctor's private parking lot is in front of the entrance to the Rehabilitation Centre. The out-patient disabled coming to the Hospital for their therapy have to walk a far distance around the other side of the building from where there is a public parking lot. Poor planning but the worst is that this is a planning error that will probably not be rectified as the Doctor's will not give up their parking lot and swith to the public lot, which has approximately the same amount of spaces.
Even though we appreciate all the new modern facilities some things will never change. Mich
