We broke a record high here today,94F. Miserable. Presently, it is raining cajuns really hard and has been steadily for over an hour. There will surely be some street flooding if it keeps up this evening. I fell certain that my little vegetable seedlings have washed away

So odd that the rainy/dry seasons are identical to the ones here, HW.

Now that the tropical storm has passed, they are saying scattered showers and a severe drop in temperature by tomorrow -- back to seasonal levels. This morning is still freakishly warm.
Here is a pet peeve on the wrong thread: people who dress according to the calendar rather than the weather forecast. Yesterday, I went to work in a short-sleeved shirt and was still too hot in the metro. Most of the other people were wearing coats, heavy jackets and sweaters. About half of them had stripped them off before they reached their destination.

I know that pet peeve well. When I was in NY people were dressed in corduroy and the like and the temps were in the 70F's. They also adhere to that stupid fashion rule about white after Labor Day. I don't know what the totals were, but yesterdays rain had to have been 2-3 inches. I saw someone this a.m. that lives on the West Bank and he said they didn't get a drop! Continued hot and muggy here today...

At 6 pm it's still about 27° here, but it's getting very dark and cloudy so maybe we will get some rain after all. It is supposed to cool off over the next few days.

It's another cloudy, rainy day here today. Thanks giving is coming up, so the kids are off school too.

I got totally soaked cycling back yesterday, even though the morning ride had been really comfortable. today, as mentioned by Spindrift, was glorious. A perfect autumn day with that particular light and the trees changing colours. I was grateful for bf's gloves this morning, though...

More buckets of rain in Paris at the end of the afternoon, but still strangely warm. People even remembered to leave their coats at home today.

9:00PM this evening - the big blobs are snowflakes reflecting the flash. The snow won't stick around, but it is a pain in the ass and does cause problems. I watched a bus travelling just in front of me tonight slide past it's turn...

I hope so K. but I imagine your nephew would enjoy regardless of the weather. Just to be in Paris with his Uncle Jack. I'm hoping for a cooler day today,so far it is but the sun's not up yet. After that sight of snow in I's post,I'm not going to complain. Is that the norm Imec,to have snow this early?
